/24-7PressRelease/ -- Medix Staffing Solutions, Inc., a national staffing organization specialized in recruiting skilled personnel for clients in the Professional Services, Life Sciences, Healthcare and Information Technology industries, earned a spot on Crain's Chicago Business' "Fast Fifty" list as the 20th fastest growing company in the Chicago metro area, based on percent of revenue growth.
This annual feature includes companies headquartered in the six-county Chicagoland area (Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will) with 2010 revenues of at least $20 million. To qualify, companies had to maintain revenue growth in the last year and could not have more than one year of declining revenue in the 2005-2010 period.
"Being featured on the 'Fast Fifty' list means so much to Medix as a company because the past few years have been extremely trying, given the economic climate. It took a lot of diligent work to overcome that and still experience growth," said Andrew Limouris, Medix's President and CEO.
"Fast Fifty" honorees were selected based on their five-year percentages of revenue growth, which were verified by independent professional services firm Deloitte & Touche LLP. Medix earned its spot on the list after increasing in revenue from $10.5 million in 2005 to $45 million in 2010, representing a 327.9 percent growth.
This is not the company's first year on the list, as Medix was featured on the "Fast Fifty" in the 7th spot in 2008 and 11th spot in 2009. "Of the years we have been featured on the list, this year means the most to us," said Limouris. "It was easier to accumulate massive growth in the infant stages of business, but to be headed into our tenth year of business and still be experiencing this kind of rapid growth is truly remarkable."
Medix currently employs 147 people nationwide and operates in 24 markets across the country. The company has ambitious plans to add more offices and serve more markets, with five additional offices in the works to be opened in the next couple years.
