ABOUT KAREN HARRINGTON
Karen Harrington is a Texas native who has been writing fiction for more than twenty years. Her writing has received honors from the Hemingway Short Story Festival, the Texas Film Institute Screenplay Contest and the Writers' Digest National Script Contest. A graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas, she has worked as a speechwriter and editor for major corporations and non-profit organizations. She authored and published There's a Dog in the Doorway, a children's book created expressly for the Dr. Laura Schlessinger Foundation's "My Stuff Bags." My Stuff bags go to children in need who must leave their home due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. She lives in Plano, Texas, with her husband and two children.

DeAnn Daley Holcomb began her career as a television news reporter and anchor at the ABC television affiliates in Lubbock and Midland/Odessa. Moving with her family to Plano, TX, Holcomb worked as a newspaper staff reporter for the Plano Star Courier and as the associate editor for Dallas' Health and Fitness Sports magazine. Holcomb continues her work today as a full-time writer and published author. Holcomb lives in Plano with her husband, Greg and son, Spencer. When she is not at work on her laptop computer, you can find Holcomb on the sidelines of Spencer's football or baseball games, cheering the teams on to victory.
