Meissa Bleu Murphy Celebrated by Marquis Who's Who for Valuable Contributions to Music

With an academic backing from a number of Indiana state institutions, Mrs. Murphy has excelled in numerous fields throughout her career. In addition to working as a music teacher for public schools in Indianapolis, she also joined St. Vincent Hospital as a behaviorist. Further, she has held the roles of vocal coach, piano teacher, professional musician, guitarist, and vocalist over the years. For the past 20 years, she has operated Mrs. Murphy's Piano Studio, a private piano, voice and theater studio that has produced many successful composers, performers and teachers of music. Mrs. Murphy flew her own plane and logged many solo hours of flight time traveling to engagements in the U.S. Her license enabled her to fly in solitude and compose numerous songs. Other original songs were recorded at Columbia Studios.

An alumna of Herron Art School and Purdue University, Mrs. Murphy holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees: one in art history and fine arts and the other in psychology. Her professional affiliations include the American College of Music, the Indianapolis Piano Teachers Association, the Indianapolis Art Museum, and American Mensa. Notably, she composed "Is It Raining," "Small House for Sale," and "Christmas Mouse," as well as songs for numerous television commercials. During the course of her many years in the field, she earned the Arion Award for Music, the Boston and Chicago Mensa Awards, and the Rosa Parks Tolerance Award. Additionally, Mrs. Murphy has been celebrated for her work with inclusion in 10 volumes of Who's Who in America, six editions of Who's Who in the World, and two editions of Who's Who of American Women.
