With 23 years of professional experience, Ms. Boring specializes in treating speech/language delays and addressing the challenges that face children with learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and autism spectrum disorders. As owner of Heads Up, she is dedicated to serving these children, parents and educators by presenting workshops, providing counseling and education. She also offers training in the use of strategies, tips for adapting the learning environment, and use of special tools & materials to help struggling learners.
Ms. Boring received her undergraduate degree in Education from Miami University (1984) and her Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology from The Ohio State University (1985). Her passion to help special needs children and their families was borne from her personal and professional observations of the challenges they face daily. Her education and experience led her to start Heads Up!, a company that provides books, products and information to help meet the needs of those with AD/HD, autism spectrum disorders, speech delays, sensory integration and a host of other special needs. Ms. Boring, author of Heads Up Helping!, has been a speaker, columnist, and workshop presenter in seven states for more than 10 years.
