The National Memory Screening Process is a simple and safe evaluation tool done by qualified healthcare professionals including social workers, pharmacists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and physicians that checks memory and other cognitive skills. The screening is conducted in a private setting and consists of a series of questions and/or tasks designed to test memory, language skills, thinking ability and other intellectual functions. The person administering the screening goes over the confidential results with the person who took the test and can suggest whether the person should follow-up with a physician or other qualified healthcare practitioners.
