Mr. Guest joined Guest Associates, his family's consulting firm, in 1997. Recognized as an expert in business development and marketing, he brings to his position years of hands-on experience establishing and operating businesses in diverse industries. Now the CEO and president, he is in charge of overseeing business development and marketing related to aviation, aerospace and military applications, and working with information technology services, business mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Guest considers personally advising Alabama Governor Bob Riley about a trade mission to Israel to be among the highlights of his career, as well as helping a client secure a contract amounting to $168 million, the largest contract that his firm has closed to date.
Chosen as a Professional of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who for two years in a row and recently picked for inclusion into its Top 101 Industry Experts book, Mr. Guest attributes his success to the depth of his business experience in multiple fields. "I can truly identify and empathize with the business owner who struggles to develop new markets while meeting payroll and dealing with the numerous legal and accounting regulations that must be followed," he says. "The hands-on experience and knowledge I gained dealing with the marketing, advertising, legal, accounting, inventory, human resource and many other aspects of operating my own business have made me uniquely qualified to assist our clients."
An alumnus of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Mr. Guest received his Bachelor of Science in Social and Behavioral Sciences, with a double major in Business Administration, in 1987. He is a member of the Huntsville Area Chamber of Commerce, the North Alabama International Trade Association and the Association of the United States Army. Mr. Guest was previously featured in Entrepreneur magazine and is credited as the founder of the Huntsville Men's Tennis Program of the University of Alabama at Huntsville. In 2007, he was ranked fifth among tennis players in Alabama aged 45 and above.
