As plant manager, he utilizes his expertise in production management and professional leadership to manage overall plant operations. Prior to earning his current position, he was a paper packer, floor sweep, machine cleaner, paper bailer (scrap), machine operator, lead operator, production supervisor, logistics supervisor, continuous improvement manager and production manager, gradually working his way up to plant manager in what he considers the greatest feat of his career to date. Mr. Gatts attributes his success to his people management and decision-making skills and to his experiences being raised in the family business owned and operated by Oliver and Kate Gatts, which enabled him to observe firsthand the day-to-day activities of a successful company. His goals for the next five years include rising to the position of regional manager.
