CHICAGO, IL, April 11, 2010
/24-7PressRelease/ -- The Lincoln Park Conservancy is hosting its annual Glass House Gala on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the Lincoln Park Conservatory, 2391 N. Stockton Drive in Chicago. Proceeds benefit the park projects, programs and operations of the Lincoln Park Conservancy, a not-for-profit organization.
This spectacular evening will begin with cocktails in the Palm House and Fern Room followed by dinner, entertainment and a live auction in the Showroom. The evening will culminate with a special performance by Michael Ingersoll, former co-star of the Tony Award-winning musical Jersey Boys, and his wife, Angela Ingersoll, a Jeff-nominated actress and singer.
"For the first time ever, guests at the Glass House Gala will experience the transformation of the Conservatory's Showroom into an elegant dinning and entertainment space," said Susan Fargo, Vice President of the Lincoln Park Conservancy.
"Couple that with a concert by Michael Ingersoll and his wife Angela, and we truly have a first-class fundraiser that is unique to Chicago."
Seating is limited with individual tickets priced at $250. A select-table for six guests can also be purchased for $1,800. Early ticket purchases will receive better seating.
In addition, there are VIP tables available for $3,000, which includes Ingersoll as your table's companion during one course of the dinner. Guests will hear behind-the-scenes stories from his television appearances on Oprah, The Emmys, A Capitol Fourth, and as a co-star in the Jersey Boys Chicago cast.

About the Lincoln Park Conservancy
The Lincoln Park Conservancy ("LPC"), an independent not-for-profit organization founded in 1984, works in partnership with the Chicago Park District for the benefit of Lincoln Park. Its activities include identifying park sites for restoration, fundraising for their rehabilitation, and then co-managing the restored sites. It also provides significant volunteer opportunities including the North Pond Gardeners, and the Lincoln Park Docents who interpret the landscape, history and wildlife of the park to the public. Current LPC projects include the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool, Lincoln Park Conservatory and Formal Gardens, and the North Pond Nature Sanctuary.
About the Lincoln Park Conservatory
The Lincoln Park Conservatory, owned and operated by the Chicago Park District, was designed by nationally renowned architect of the Victorian era, Joseph Lyman Silsbee in collaboration with architect M.E. Bell. Built in phases between 1890 and 1895, the Conservatory was designed both to showcase exotic plants and to grow the thousands of plants needed for use in the parks, which it still does today.
