ORCHARD PARK, NY, July 2, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael J. Higgins, Instructor for Erie Community College, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of mathematics education.

Mr. Higgins' expertise lies in calculus, algebra, business calculus, survey of mathematics, and pre-calculus. For the last four years, he has been teaching these subjects at Erie Community College, SUNY Buffalo, and Daemen College. Mr. Higgins considers teaching his favorite subject to be the most enjoyable and rewarding aspect of his career. He attributes his success to his intelligence and ability to connect with his students, and to the support he received from his mentors.

A magna cum laude graduate of SUNY Buffalo, Mr. Higgins received his Master of Arts in Mathematics in 2005. He is affiliated with the Golden Key International Honour Society. He aspires to become a full-time professor next year.
