In attempt to bridge that gap, a fan tribute by the fans for the fans is set to have auditions on August 22, 2009 in Hollywood.
The entire project will feature Michael Jackson's biggest fans and serve as a final way for them to pay tribute to his inspiration. Michael Jackson affected the lives of many and this project serves as an opportunity for his fans to express their honest thoughts and stories.
Angela Watts is looking forward to participating in the fan tribute because of how connected she has always felt to Michael Jackson, "The Jackson 5 was my first concert when I was just a child and my parents took me. I watched them whenever they were on TV and when Michael went solo I went to see him too. We really grew up together. He will be remembered for all the beauty he had since he was just a child. He never changed on the inside. I want to tell the world how much I loved him, and how much love he gave to me just by being present on this earth."
Michael Jackson was a cultural phenomenon and affected millions of lives in so many different ways through his life and death. This fan tribute will be a showcase of real stories from real people of all walks of life, from all levels of inspiration, admiration and devotion.
