    SAVANNAH, GA, January 13, 2009 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Michael Johnson, Sous Chef at Wilmington Island Club, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of culinary arts.

With 10 years of professional experience, Mr. Johnson specializes in the fusion of European and American fare with an Asian twist. On a daily basis, he is responsible for managing kitchen activities in the absence of the executive chef. He feels that his calling was in food preparation and credits his success to his ability to learn.

A certified culinarian through the American Culinary Federation, Mr. Johnson completed his internship in Savannah and his coursework in culinary arts at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in 2006. He is also a certified food and nutrition specialist through the National Restaurant Association. A member of the American Culinary Federation, he volunteers for Kids Caf in his spare time. He aspires to own and operate his own restaurant and catering business.

Wilmington Island Club is an 18-hole golf club that features 6,876 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 73.5 and it has a slope rating of 137 on Bermuda grass.
