BANDERA, TX, November 02, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michelle Falgout Mitchell, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth and Basic Mathematics Teacher at Bandera Middle School of the Bandera Independent School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of mathematics education.

Now celebrating her 10th anniversary with Bandera Middle School, Michelle Falgout Mitchell thrives in her post as a basic mathematics teacher for the sixth, seventh and eighth grade. Distinguished in mathematics and special education, she creates individualized curriculum for each of her students with special needs. She also develops education plans and interacts with parents to ensure optimized learning for her students.

In an exclusive sit-down conversation with Cambridge Who's Who, Ms. Mitchell described her initial involvement in teaching as inspired by her love for working with children. Paired with an aptitude for mathematics, this made education a natural choice for her. Today, she enjoys success reaped through hard work and perseverance, with plans to earn a Ph.D. and become a college professor. Ms. Mitchell earned a master of education at the University of Texas at San Antonio and a bachelor of business administration in marketing at the University of Texas-Pan American. She is also certified in all grades levels of elementary and middle school special education (first through eight) and as a mathematics teacher.

In her free time, Ms. Mitchell serves as a mentor for the Help One Student to Succeed Program. She is an avid supporter of the American Cancer Society, Inc., the Special Olympics and the Spirits of Christmas. She is a member of Who's Who Among American Teachers, Omicron Delta Kappa, Inc. and Alpha Chi.
