/24-7PressRelease.com/ - Toronto, Canada - March 14, 2005 -UPDATE - Millennium Health Supplements (Canada) Inc., an importer/exporter of natural products and internet retailer of HoodiaHoodia, thinks hoodia gordonii is the most incredible discovery in history.

With the introduction of hoodia gordonii into the weight loss industry in early 2004, Millennium Health has found that this product is exactly what people have been waiting for, for decades. Hoodia gordonii is possibly the safest, most effective and powerful appetite suppressant ever discovered and there are no known side effects or stimulants.

While safety studies done in Britain during the 1990's say that hoodia gordonii has proven to be safe, new studies will be carried out in Canada that hope to show the product will be safe enough to be used in childhood obesity in the near future. Hoodia gordonii is also part of the healing aloe family, which has many health benefits.

Millennium says that people are tired of using harmful and stimulating products to reduce their weight. They want something safe, pure and natural and they want something that works. Who would have thought that a plant existed in South Africa that could do just that!

South African scientists have been testing the hoodia plant since 1996 when they discovered the plant contained a previously unknown molecule that replicates the effect glucose has on nerve cells in the brain fooling the body into thinking it is full, even when it is not. Results of human clinical trials in Britain suggest that hoodia gordonii could reduce the appetite by up to 2,000 calories a day.

On November 21st 60 Minutes aired a program on hoodia gordonii and it's benefits and internet sales for Millennium Health soared. A week later the LA Times and the Houston Chronicle also did a story on Millennium Health, which sparked even more interest in HoodiaHoodia and created more brand awareness for the company.

But, Millennium says to be careful who you purchase from and what you buy. Do your homework and read about the companies you want to do business with, and ask if they have hoodia gordonii licensed through Western Cape Conservation with a CITES approval.

Jen Cully, spokesperson for MHSCI says; "We use only 100% hoodia gordonii in our capsules and nothing else. While there are many products on the internet claiming pure hoodia or only hoodia gordonii succulent, none of these companies list any licensing of their hoodia gordonii products." She says: "Beware of products claiming to be 20:1 extracts or concentrates as they are not real. If they were real they would be extremely expensive to make or purchase at around $175.00/bottle US dollars."

Cully also states; "As an importer/exporter, Millennium Health has the advantage of being able to procure and contract for top quality material that no other hoodia gordonii retailers have. We purchase our hoodia gordonii only from licensed growers, sanctioned by authorities to export the protected Flora of South Africa and specifically hoodia gordonii. Hoodia has quickly turned into our flagship product and we are proud to provide you with the purest Hoodia Gordonii available on the market today."

"Our product is licensed by Western Cape Conservation Authority of South Africa and CITES, a UN watchdog for endangered species, plant and animal. Neither Western Cape nor CITES allow the use of their licenses in advertising on websites unless they are approved."
