February 16, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Milngavie Tourist Information Office has created a website specially dedicated to all things West Highland Way. http://www.westhighlandwayinfo.com provides extensive information on Scotland's most popular long-distance route. Whether you want to walk, camp or cycle the Way, this website offers accommodation and baggage transfer packages with West Highland Way Holidays.

The newest feature on the website is the West Highland Way Forum which invites new and experienced wayfarers to come together and share their thoughts, experiences and knowledge of the West Highland Way. Register today at http://www.westhighlandwayinfo.com/forum to ask a question, post an answer or simply read the posts by other users.

The Milngavie Tourist Information Office is proud to welcome wayfarers at the starting point of the West Highland Way. Friendly staff are located right at the Gateway, on-hand to provide information and assistance to everyone embarking upon their journey.

Wayfarers are invited to visit the Tourist Information Office to sign the visitor's book, a recently established tradition. Wayfarers can also get their hands on the West Highland Way log book which can be stamped at various stopping points along the Way, then collect their personalised certificate in Fort William. Together they make the perfect memento of the trip.

Walkers also have the chance to purchase last minute essentials for their trip such as midge nets and maps. A wide range of West Highland Way souvenirs are also available.

The West Highland Way is Scotland's premier long-distance walking route, running from Milngavie to Fort William. Each year around 30,000 people from all around the world, walk the 96-mile route, taking in some of Scotland's most stunning scenery. If you're thinking of walking the Way this year, make sure you visit the website and drop into the Milngavie Tourist Information Office before setting off!
