CASTLE ROCK, CO, January 10, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Milvi Gill has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Backed by more than four decades of invaluable contributions to her field, Ms. Gill is uniquely qualified to oversee a wide range of tasks on behalf of numerous art galleries. She started her professional journey serving in various positions in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, Smithsonian Institute, and the National Institutes of Health between 1973 and 1983. The next year, she became part of the office administration for the Secretary of Defense in Arlington, Va., at which point she started a four-year stint with the Joint Chiefs of Staff and subsequently obtained a position with NATO. Nearly a decade later, Ms. Gill decided to follow her true passions and earned a Bachelor of Arts in art history from the University of Maryland European Division in Brussels. Since then, she has become an artist, serving with the Old Towne Art Gallery in Fredericksburg, Va., from 1993 until 1998. Today, Ms. Gill holds three artist positions with Brush Strokes Gallery, Liberty Town Arts, and Edgy Studios, where she has been since mid-2000. In order to expand her knowledge of the field, she is now taking courses in botanical illustration at Denver Botanical Gardens and in doll-making with an independent artist, Leslie Molen.

An associate with the National Museum for Women in the Arts and shining example of skill in her field, Ms. Gill has achieved much throughout her career. She has had photography exhibitions at Corner Window and Below Deck, where she was given an honorable mention in enhanced photography in 2005, as well as exhibitions with Madonna and Child in The Plains, Va., Byzantine Angel, and the Stafford Hospital Collection. Additionally, she has won many awards for her work, including one from the Fredericksburg Center for Creative Arts and one from Spring House. She has also had the honor of being named to numerous editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of American Women.

During her spare time, Ms. Gill enjoys giving back to her community through a variety of organizations, such as Therapy Dogs International, where she was a team leader from 1996 until 2004, and the Christian Children's Fund, where she was a sponsor for more than 25 years between 1980 and 2006. Looking toward the future, Ms. Gill intends to continue experiencing professional growth.
