/24-7PressRelease/ - SARASOTA, FL, August 06, 2008 - Mine Organics, a new purveyor of sustainable lifestyle products, has launched its organic cotton clothing line of unique designs created to inspire reverence for our planet and those living on it. From creamy soft onesies for newborns to silky smooth T-shirts for Dad, each member of the family can find the message and style that suits their taste. Designs feature simple planet-friendly messages such as "World Peace" and "Respect Your Mother" or "Ride a Bike" with delightful graphics representing each theme. Currently there are 16 designs to choose from, so there's something for one and all. Aside from their fine quality, the company has left no detail unexamined by its "green" scrutiny. Each garment has a recycled paper tag that is embedded with wildflower seeds, so it can be planted in a garden or flowerpot instead of a landfill. In addition, the paper used in the catalogs is 100% recycled and the printing is done with vegetable dyes.

Mine Organics' goal is not only to encourage families to live green, but to educate children to take charge of what is their future - the state of our planet, hence the name "mine" in "Mine Organics." Says co-founder Kim McLeod, "Our goal is that if each child learns/does one thing to make a difference, then our world will be a better, cleaner, and happier place. It is the child's turn to teach adults how easy making a change is."

"No act is too small. Recycling, using recycled goods, using less water in the shower or when brushing teeth, turning off the lights when you leave a room, etc. are all small things that have big results. That is why all of our tags have one way to make a change," adds Nikki LaBelle, co-founder.

While the company focuses on healthy lifestyles with deference to the planet, its inception derived from the most unlikely of places - toxins. When Kim McLeod's 3 year old daughter was diagnosed with a severe case of Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA), it was discovered that her blood contained traces of pesticides and other chemicals. Shocked that her small child already had so much exposure to toxins and desperate to remove these dangers from her child's environment, McLeod (mother of two) joined by her sister Nikki LaBelle (mother of four) adopted organic housekeeping practices. Additionally, they closely monitored their collective families' exposure to toxins in food, clothing, haircare products and their home environments, and removed offending products wherever possible. They soon noted improvement in their health and the JRA went into remission. Equally relieved and stunned by this transformation, the sisters continued to expand their natural lifestyle knowledge. Realizing other families needed help in conveniently making similar changes, they decided to create and market top quality eco-friendly products that families could not only feel comfortable in, but would know weren't harming their health or the planet.

Mine Organics continues to add to its collection with everything from organic cotton beach bags and hats, to "design your own bag" kits for kids which include non-toxic markers and organic cotton totes that let children unleash their creativity and expression, while simultaneously joining the reusable bag movement. Celebrities have also already caught onto this new line with David Arquette, Courtney Cox Arquette and their daughter Coco having a family set of Mine Organics shirts, as do other actors including Kevin Costner and Kelsey Grammer.

Ranging in price from $24-$29 retail Mine Organics organic cotton apparel is available on the company's website, as well as various retailers.

In the company's continued mission to improve our planet and all living things on it, a percentage of every sale is given to charity, the founders visit schools to spread environmental advocacy and natural health awareness, and free product is given to those in desperate need - such as members of the Greensburg, Kansas community who lost everything in last year's devastating tornado.

Mine Organics (www.mineorganics.com) - is an eco-friendly, family-owned, fair-trade organic cotton clothing company with a "rocking new line of organic baby clothing and organic apparel for all members of the family. Mine Organics also offers other eco-friendly and organic products for the entire earth friendly family and continues to expand both its apparel line and other offerings to provide a convenient resource for families seeking sustainable living solutions. The company's mission is to encourage everyone to make a difference in our world and educate all people who see and wear Mine Organics apparel.
