MISF MEDIA LAUNCHES HUMAN RIGHTS-WAR ON TERROR NEWS UPDATE
Biweekly news roundup reviews the war on terror's impact on human rights.

    /24-7PressRelease/ - MEDFORD, MA, August 31, 2006 - May I Speak Freely Media, a nonprofit organization reporting on human rights and social justice issues, today launched its newest Web site feature, the Human Rights-War on Terror News Update (http://www.mayispeakfreely.org).

The biweekly feature provides a roundup of news events related to the U.S.-led "war on terror" and its impact on human rights around the world. Using capsule news summaries with links to the original sources, the Update addresses topics including investigations and prosecution of torture cases, detention policies, renditions, national and international court cases, and U.S. laws enacted as "antiterror" measures.

Visit us regularly at http://www.mayispeakfreely.org to stay informed on such issues as efforts to halt the NSA domestic surveillance program, Europe's continuing debate over its role in U.S. renditions, international criticism of U.S. terrorism policies, new revelations of torture in U.S. detention facilities, and the debate on the legality of detention policies.
