Its Geo-Targeting ability allows the site to display a link to the things to do in the destination where the user is, and with just a click you can call City Discovery's nearest customer service branch for last minute bookings. The site also gives users the option to directly access booking vouchers from their phones. Soon, vouchers sent to mobile devices will be accepted as legitimate vouchers by City Discovery's activity providers.
"Mobile applications offer a unique potential to revolutionize the travel industry," according to Guez. City Discovery is one of the first in the travel industry to use the Short Message Service in mobile phones to confirm bookings and remind customers about their booking details. In addition, Guez says his development team is currently developing a system that allows customers to access local travel information and advice directly on their phone.
