HOLLYWOOD, CA, November 16, 2008
/24-7PressRelease/ -- Wild Models, Inc. Director Kurt Clements selects Tecca Zendik to be their Miss USA representative for their international charitable foundation "Beauty Will Save the World". The first pagent was held in Libya in 2002 and attended by top Libyan officials, including Colonel Muammar Gaddafi.
Other Wild Models, Inc. attendees of the 2002 "Beauty Will Save the World" pagent includes Miss Canada, Miss Mexico, Miss Holland Miss Hungary, Miss Norway, and Miss Thailand. Partnering with Sophia Ong from Paris and Dean Paterson of M1 Models London, Wild Models, Inc. also introduces representatives from Austria, Brazil, Croatia, Great Britain, Greece, Moldova, Miss Morocco, Ireland, Portugal, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Romania, Russia, and Ukraine.
"Beauty Will Save the World" is dedicated toward peace and improving relations between countries, specifically Libya. The goal of the foundation is to be the biggest Model Non-Profit organization for Humanitarian program and projects.
Zendik's interest in Libya stems from her entry in the 2002 Miss Net World Beauty Pageant. This led to her honorary Libyan citizenship in 2003. Zendik's blossoming career as an ambassador was built by her trip to Libya as a representative for the United States in the competition sponsored by Gaddafi. Regarded as a "charm offensive" by the reclusive government, the pageant introduced Zendik to a different culture with a population yearning to gain entry to the global community.
Director of Wild Models, Inc. Kurt Clements has also been heavily involved at fostering friendlier relations between the two countries. Clements and Zendik continue to return to Tripoli regularly, visiting the orphanages, hospitals, and schools 15 more times. Model Management Inc. recently partnered with renowned model booker Sophia Ong to hold another beauty contest in Tripoli. The show will be documented by the History Channel in a feature tentatively titled "Beauty Will Save the World".
Clements remarks "Tecca's role in working with top Libyan nationals has been key in this burgeoning relationship." In addition to her ongoing role with "Beauty Will Save the World" and Model Management Inc., Zednik is currently a successful Beverley Hills modeling agent.
Zendik herself is no stranger to finding role models within the charitable communities. "As a role model for ambassadors, my ideal has always been Princess Diana," confesses the aspiring ambassador. "Her poise and resolve, as well as love of people, helped break down barriers. She sets a world class example of how to establish a charity."
Clements continues to build "Beauty Will Save the World", with plans in the works for similar events in 2010 in locations such as Korean or other embargo countries. Among the charitable groups "Beauty Will Save the World" and Wild Models, Inc. is looking to partner with include Charities for Aids and hunger and the American Red Cross. However, partnerships are only one facet of the growth plan for this fresh charity. Says Zednik, "Our goal is to become one of the biggest charities in the world."
Among the resources currently being sought by the new foundation includes a private DC-8 jet to fly doctors, staff and medical supplies into relief areas. For more information on the "Beauty Will Save the World" foundation, contact Model Management Inc. for more details.
