Mohammed Andaleeb Chowdhury, MD, MRCP (UK) Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Dedication in Medicine

Dr. Chowdhury has just completed a cardiovascular medicine fellowship with the University of Toledo Medical Center in Ohio



    HOLLAND, OH, October 02, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mohammed Andaleeb Chowdhury, MD, MRCP (UK) has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After recently completing his fellowship with the University of Toledo Medical Center, Dr. Chowdhury currently works with the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, undergoing advanced heart failure and transplantation fellowship. He started in July of 2017 in the latest stop in a long medical journey from his home of Bangladesh. Dr. Chowdhury has served numerous positions in the medical field, and was selected by the American Society of Echocardiography as one of 2016's Top 25 Investigators. He is the winner of the Thomas Walsh Research Symposium for the years of 2016 and 2017.

Though Dr. Chowdhury is from Bangladesh, he attended Gulf Medical University in Ajiman, the United Arab Emirates, to earn a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2005. He served an internal medicine residency with the University of Toledo Medical Center from 2012 to 2015 before earning a fellowship and an American medical degree with the university. Though most doctors have their start in internship and fellowship, Dr. Chowdhury is serving out these roles after a successful career in cardiology in Africa and Europe.

Dr. Chowdhury served with the Al Mafraq Hospital in Abu Dhabi, in the Emirates, and was a medical officer with the Ain Shams Medical University Hospital in Cairo, Egypt. From 2007 to 2008, Dr. Chowdhury worked with Professor Alaa Ismail of Ain Shams in researching stem cells and their effect on cirrhotics undergoing resection for hepatic tumors, as well as the use of amniotic membrane in ureteric reconstruction. He served a string of hospitals, including a year as cardiology senior house officer with the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, U.K.

Dr. Chowdhury still retains membership with the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom, as well as the American Society of Hypertension, the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, and the Heart Failure Society of America. He is certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine and the National Board of Echocardiography. As a researcher, he is known for his work on echocardiographic right ventricular parameters and post CABG outcomes. Dr. Chowdhury speaks Bangla, English, Hindi, and Arabic. He attributes his success to perseverance, until opportunity appears.
