/24-7PressRelease/ -- Cougars are invited to compete for the title of Miss Cougar Monterey at the first-ever Monterey Cougar Convention, Saturday, May 8, 2010, at The Hippodrome, Monterey's premiere nightclub, at 321 Alvarado, across from the Convention Center, Monterey CA 93940. Adult Cougars and Cubs of all ages are welcome.
"Millions of MidLife women have discovered that the pickings are slim among men their own age," says Rich Gosse, Keynote Speaker at the Convention. "Middle-aged men are in short supply, due to a higher death rate, and also because they typically date women many years their junior. MidLife women MUST date younger men, or often not date at all."

The Convention begins at 8pm with the Keynote Address, "Younger Men/Older Women: The Ideal Combination." Dance Party follows, 9pm-2am. The highpoint of the Convention will be the crowning of Miss Cougar Monterey at 11pm. The winner will be a woman who is legally single and at least 35 years of age. She will be selected by the Cubs (younger men) in attendance. She will be awarded a free berth on the International Cougar Cruise, either May 16-23 to the Mexican Riviera; or December 3-6 to the Bahamas, courtesy of http://www.SinglesTravelCompany.com.
The cost for the Monterey Cougar Convention is $20 at the door, which includes full access to the entire giant nightclub. There is free street parking and $3 parking at the parking garage. Dressy night club attire is requested.
