/24-7PressRelease/ - NORTH WALES, PA, August 01, 2008 - Area teens are invited to the Montgomery Mall's Teen Spree 2008, a back to school event happening on Sunday, August 10 from 7pm - 9pm throughout the mall. Teen Spree 2008 will feature the latest back to school styles, major fall discounts and give-aways, food sampling and DJ entertainment by Radio Disney. The event will also include a fall fashion show choreographed and executed by Montgomery Mall Teen Board members. The show will begin at 7:30pm in Macy's Court and will showcase the fall styles from retailers such as The Limited, Delia's, the Disney Store, Charlotte Russe, Hot Topic, Aeropostale, Zumiez, Gap, and Bandolinos.
Teens can purchase a ticket for the event at Montgomery Mall's Guest Services for only $5 in advance and $6 at the door, and parents are invited to participate for FREE. All proceeds raised by the event will benefit the Simon Youth Foundation; an organization that helps at-risk kids in Simon mall communities nationwide earn high school diplomas and scholarships to realize hopes of going to college.
About the Montgomery Mall Teen Board: The Montgomery Mall Teen Board is comprised of approximately 30 young women between the ages of thirteen to eighteen years from 21 different schools in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. The students serve one full year term and represent the Montgomery Mall in fashion shows and special events. Members participate in lectures, workshops and activities dealing with the various aspects of the fashion and retail industry - modeling, retail operations, fashion design, marketing and public relations. For the teen members in the program, it has offered them a voice in their communities, a way to contribute their energies in a positive manner, a better understanding and respect of each others diverse backgrounds, and a way to increase their own sense of self-worth and self-esteem through the positive impact they have on their own community.
