About TIMA:
The music community gives back by celebrate and awarding the brightest of ground breaking artists both nationally and internationally. Over 19+ performances, celebrity guests, representatives from all aspects of the music industry, goodies and giveaways from our sponsors, and one hell of a good night!
About October Sky:
An uplifting adventure, October Sky has the power to propel explosive lights and sounds with an interactive spectacle over airwaves of unique creativity. With strong comparison to Muse, Radiohead & Coldplay, October Sky's edge is making people jump off their feet and experiencing the higher limits of musicianship
With strong determination and hard work, October Sky's accomplishments thus far have been all self-produced. Their live shows are not comparable to many indie bands; they take great pride in self-producing high quality performance shows to crowds of 500 fans in their hometown of Montreal.
2008 has been a busy year, with their soon to be released album "Hell Isn't My Home" in September 2008 accompanied with the support of their music video "Hit the Ground" that recently reached #4 on MusiquePlus. Their second music video for "Hell Isn't My Home" is already in post-production and will be released later this year. October Sky's "Hell Isn't My Home" Canadian & US tour is set to kick off in September, seeing them tour extensively from coast to coast.
About Empire ISIS:
Nominated for "Most Promising Entertainer" at the International Reggae and World Music Awards, and winner of "Best new International Artist of Canada" at the SOBA awards, this North-African beauty defies all preconceived ideas of your typical Urban artist. Empire ISIS aka Empress Gangstress brings a new meaning to word "World Music" by breaking down the musical barriers and fusing Hiphop, Dancehall into a pop format on her new LP "Sound the Trumpets". Ranked number 7 on the top 10 unsigned artists in the world by "The frost report", ISIS has stayed true to her roots and movement while gaining international recognition without the help of Major labels.
Her first studio effort, "Sound the Trumpets", was recorded between Montreal, New York, Tel Aviv and Kingston. The album was produced by Prayon, and Overstand at studio such as Tuff Gong, Penthouse, & King Of Kings in Jamaica. ISIS has painstakingly developed her sound and image while maintaining ownership of all her songs under her brothers record label Monumental Records distributed by Universal Music Group.
