Earlier in his career, he worked as an adjunct professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering at Sangji Univesity. Subsequently, he served as a visiting scholar with the Korea Institute of Construction technology, a researcher with the Research Institute of Basic Sciences in Seoul National University, and a senior researcher at the Center for Atmospheric and Environmental Modeling.
A graduate of Seoul National University, Dr. Park holds a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and PhD in Atmospheric Sciences. His professional affiliations include the Korean Meteorological Society, the European Geosciences Union, and the Asia Oceania Geosciences Society. Throughout his career, he has contributed his extensive knowledge to 40 scientific papers and two books.
Additionally, Dr. Park has designed and established the high-resolution urban meteorological observation system network in the Seoul Metropolitan Area, called UMS-Seoul, as one of the most intensively integrated and well-organized urban meteorological observation networks in the world. In the coming years, Dr. Park intends to continue improving upon the system he's created, as well as experience the continued growth and success of his career.
