/24-7PressRelease/ -- 28 employees from Morgan Drexen spent the day mentoring and entertaining underprivileged children from within Orange County. Morgan Drexen executives were the first to enjoy the fun with the 'Littles' at Tustin Lanes.
For more than 100 years the Big Brothers Big Sisters organizations nationally have supported the belief that every child has the ability to succeed and thrive no matter what the social standing or upbringing. The Big Brothers Big Sisters Mission is to help children reach their potential through one-to-one relationships with mentors that have a measurable impact on youth.
"This is my second year participating in this colla¬¬boration with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and once again it has been a wonderful experience," admits Morgan Drexen Marketing Executive Liz Stone.
Morgan Drexen sponsored the event at Tustin Lanes providing several fun hours of bowling, laser tag and plenty of pizza.
"The economy is not great for many businesses therefore I am thrilled to be working for a company that sponsors such worthwhile causes. I have always wanted to be involved with this cause so thank you Morgan Drexen for giving me this opportunity to give back to local children," says Desirae Cardiel a Media and Corporate Relations Associate at Morgan Drexen.
Melissa Gallagher Community Outreach Coordinator for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County says, "We are thrilled to be working with Morgan Drexen for a second year this is not only a day of fun but a necessity for children who lack a role model within their family. Every child's needs are different, as a mentor myself I wanted to be able to tell people first hand how the experience works and how rewarding it can be."
"It was a great fun day and it is so nice to see so many smiles on the faces of these young children. Although I have children of my own this day is always so rewarding for me," says Avi Gupta Chief Information Officer at Morgan Drexen.

In recent weeks funding for agency-sponsored activities in Orange County has been cut significantly. For those regularly mentoring Orange County residents 'Bigs' who regularly mentor underprivileged children 'Littles' this means fewer events in support of the mentoring program.
Emilie Perkins Director of Marketing for Big Brothers Big Sisters says, "I think this clarifies why corporations such as Morgan Drexen sponsoring these type of fun events is so critical for the mentoring process. At our big night of recruitment earlier this year we had 41 people sign up to be 'Bigs' sadly there are many more waiting for that one-on-one guidance.
