KEASBEY, NJ, November 21, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On Tuesday, November 18, 2008, Mr. John was once again called upon to provide emergency deployment of toilets due to a massive water main break affecting a large area of central New Jersey.

The 60" main broke Tuesday around mid morning and sent water gushing out in to the Delaware and Raritan Canal in Franklin Township, NJ. The incident occurred off Weston Canal Road and the force of the water pressure caused devastation to the road surface and adjacent guide rail. A heavily traveled area between Schoolhouse Lane and Apgar Road was shut down and is likely to remain closed for days until the repairs are complete.

The pipe supplied water to at least 100,000 customers of the NJ American Water Company in Somerset, Middlesex and Union Counties in Central NJ. The cause of the break is unknown at this time. Local residents were advised to boil water as a precautionary measure and many local businesses were forced to close.

Within three hours of the break, Mr. John had deployed close to 80 temporary restrooms and hand sanitizing units to area businesses, with more orders being requested for the following day. Although Mr. John was already providing for a full workload, staff immediately went to work to respond to the disaster. As soon as the first call came in, plans were put in to place to ready the necessary resources including portable restrooms, staff and delivery vehicles. The plan was implemented immediately and trucks carrying portable toilets were rushed to the area. Thanks to a dedicated staff and an effective plan of action, Mr. John was able to continue to operate normally and provide regular service to its existing customers.
