and easy applicant tracking system (ATS) from MrTed Ltd., provides users with one of the most
significant monthly enhancements since it was first launched. The October release consists of
several key updates that have come at the request of its users.
Unveiled by MrTed in October 2008, SmartRecruiters is 100% free and designed specifically for
businesses with up to 2,500 employees. With more than 2,000 small businesses using
SmartRecruiters today, its the fastest-growing ATS in the recruiting software industry.
A big part of SmartRecruiters success has come as a result of listening to its community. These
monthly enhancements are a by-product of the users recommendations. Following are the latest
new features and user-requested improvements.
Export Reports Among the major new features in the October SmartRecruiters Release are
new reports and the ability to not only view charts and graphs, but to directly export report data
in shared formats (.CSV, .XLS, .PDF). A Reports Main Page is now directly accessible from the
main navigation menu. Users can browse through different reports to view and download various
information about job and applicant pipelines, sourcing strategy efficiency, applicant sources, and
much more.
New Help Center Users who need help or have questions about SmartRecruiters can now
access SmartRecruiters new Help Center, a central resource for everything regarding
SmartRecruiters ATS. Different sections in the Help Center offer User Guides, answers to
Frequently Asked Questions, information about the newest features and improvements to
SmartRecruiters, the schedule of upcoming training webinars, contact information to reach
SmartRecruiters support, and more. Over time the Help Center will continue to expand offering
you further information and help resources.
Mass Applicant Import: CSV Upload Users asked for this and weve responded.
SmartRecuriters users can easily create multiple applicant profiles simply by uploading a
completed .CSV file. The best thing about this new feature is that transferring from a different
Applicant Tracking System is no longer an issue. Users simply need to just follow a few quick
steps and they can transfer and upload their existing applicant database into SmartRecruiters.
This is only the first phase of this important new feature. SmartRecruiters will release future
updates and enhancements, including the ability to upload different file types.
Redesigned Sourcing Center A number of improvements and increased usability to the
Sourcing Center were introduced with the September Release. This months release adds a new
Job Selector.
Improved Communication Management Page Building on last months Release and
improvements to the applicant communication process, SmartRecruiters now features a freshly
redesigned and revised Communication Management page. Several improvements to the
Communication Setup deliver an easier, more user-friendly navigation process. Users can now set
up templates for their Interview Invite, Job Offer and Rejection E-Mails and Letter in only five
easy steps.
Applicant Source Tracking Another new function with SmartRecruiters October Release is
valuable Applicant Source Tracking. It automatically tracks data about where applicants are
coming from and includes that information in a new Applicant Sources report, which is available
to view and download from within the Sourcing section of the main Reports page. With Applicant
Source Tracking, users can easily see which sourcing strategies work best and which postings to
which job boards yield the most and best candidates.
User Account Creation and Management Update This enhancement makes it easier and
more straight-forward to create and manage internal user accounts in SmartRecruiters ATS.
Users have a much clearer overview on all system user accounts, and they can create or modify
accounts in three clear, easy steps.
Cool New SmartNotification Management A new SmartNotification Management
Dashboard lets users intuitively turn on or turn off the different Notification E-Mails sent from
their SmartRecruiters ATS to their email address.
Online Application Form Improvements Based completely on user feedback,
SmartRecruiters has made more updates and improvements to the Online Application Form,
including a more user-friendly process to complete the different sections of the form and enter
additional information, as well as several enhancements to the graphic design of navigation and
buttons.
Redesigned Filter Component in Job and Applicant List Users can now filter through
their Jobs and Applicants more easily and intuitively. The Filter Component has been placed on
top of the Job and Applicant Lists and always stays open users no longer need to make extra
clicks just to open and use it!
Improvements to the Comments/Note Section This section of the Applicant Profile is now
called Feedback. All users in a system can now post comments or simply attach a note to any
applicants profile and do it in a more structured and intuitive way.
New Action Buttons Whether creating or adding a new job, users should not need to waste a
second searching for buttons to get the job done. Now, the main action buttons in the Applicants
and Jobs lists are larger and have been moved to the side for easier recognition and usability.
Send Feedback Directly from the Application When SmartRecruiter users have
suggestions for the application, we absolutely encourage them to jump right to the
SmartRecruiters Community and make their voices heard. To streamline the input options ever
more, weve made it incredibly simple to send a quick message to us straight from the application
itself.
Two New Tutorial Videos SmartRecruiters is also pleased to release two new videos to make
the application even easier and more productive for users.
