MTech Repair and iHeart Repair Announce Merger

    LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL, November 06, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mobile technology repair companies MTech Repair of Jupiter, Florida, and iHeart Repair of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, have announced their merger effective November 1, 2014. The two regional centers repair and refurbish all brands of mobile phones, tablets, computers and other devices.

"Both MTech Repair on Florida's east coast and iHeart Repair on Florida's west coast are experiencing significant growth and are leaders in their respective communities," said General Manager Anthony Fernandez, who maintains primary responsibility for the operational and technical aspects of both locations. "We will be even stronger and better together as we expand our onsite home and business service, online repair and sales programs, and technical support."

Both company brands will be retained, with plans to bring MTech Repair's retail and servicing strengths to Sarasota and expand iHeart Repair's online ship-in service to the national level. Founded in 2010 by Joshua Muccio as iPadScreenRepair.com, an informational site created to help people solve problems with their iPad screens, iHeart Repair will maintain its operation out of San Marco Plaza in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.

MTech Repair, founded in 2012, will expand its operation to Sarasota and operate as an affiliate of the iHeart Repair Network, with an eye toward adding additional repair centers in the near future. Muccio will be leading the company's online marketing initiatives supporting the national and local expansions.

"This merger will give customers more options on how to get their devices repaired," said Fernandez. Consumers and businesses can bring their devices to one of the stores, schedule an appointment for a repair technician to come to their home or business, ship their damaged devices to the iHeart Repair center, or repair the device themselves with parts, instructions and tech support.

Fernandez has broad experience in repair services of phones, tablets and computers, and has achieved his Master Cellular Technician Certification from a nationally recognized training school. He is an Apple Certified Macintosh Technician and has completed his Microsoft A+ Training. Both facilities are staffed by experienced, customer-focused service professionals and are headed by former technicians from Apple and the U.S. military.
