Because tape cartridges contain metal and metallic oxides that would "de-tune" conventional inlays, the TC10 "202" inlay has been specifically engineered for this "RF-unfriendly" application, yet still yields excellent range and reliability.
With a handheld read range of over three feet when stacked 10 cartridges high, the TC10 "202" inlay is one of the best on the market.
In addition to achieving three-meter plus reads on a single isolated cartridge, Mu-Gahat engineers embedded an advanced Impinj RFID chip with secure memory. This prevents cloning and counterfeiting, assuring enhanced security when single or multiple cartridges are being moved in turtle cases on carts or hand-carried outside of the library.
This inlay family is designed for multiple brands and models of tape cartridges, including IBM 3590, 3592, and 3480, Ultrium LTO Gen4, and compatible units. Samples may be provided for testing on additional brands and models such as Imation, StorageTek and Sun prior to purchase. This UHF Tag is EPC Class 1 Gen 2 compliant with 96-bit EPC, 64 bits of User Read/Write Memory.
