SCOTTSDALE, AZ, September 24, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- WageWatch, Inc. has released survey results online for the Santa Barbara Multi-Industry Compensation Survey. Data has been gathered from local employers in the area throughout the summer, making results now available for all participants. The timing is ideal for companies in need of local and accurate wage data to maintain a strong, post-recession workforce.

Despite the year-long downward trend in the economy, the findings indicate an average pay increase budget of 1.8% for hourly and salaried employees. Examining benefits eligibility in companies with 50 to 150 employees reveals part time employees are eligible to receive benefits if they work at least 20 hours per week, after an average of three months employment. With increased labor competition approaching, having accurate data becomes the focal point within many human resource departments across the city.

To provide this data, WageWatch surveys over 170 cross-industry positions, including mid-management and supervision, professional, technical, and entry-level jobs. Additionally showing data on base pay, incentive eligibility, target incentive amounts, total cash compensation, and overtime eligibility status are reported online, with results available this week.

"All businesses in the Santa Barbara area are encouraged to participate. Although the survey results have been released, WageWatch's unique model allows the database of employer's data to grow through the end of the year." says Margaret Dyekman, President and Chief Operating Officer of WageWatch.

"Employers are being proactive, ensuring they have pay and benefits data at their fingertips so they are ready when labor supply and demand switches to favor the demand side once again." added Kristina Kiefer, Human Resources Consultant of Cottage Health System and SBHRA Survey Committee Chair of the Santa Barbara Human Resources Association.
