Muslim and Brown Comedians Stand Up For Freedom of Expression Benefit Show

    NEW YORK, NY, January 13, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A group of Muslim and "Brown" comedians are joining forces to stand up for freedom of expression in wake of the horrific terrorist attack in Paris on the offices of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. The net proceeds from the show will be donated to a fund for the victims of this terrorist attack.

The show features an All-star line up of comedians including two correspondents from Comedy Central's "The Daily Show:" Aasif Mandvi, the show's senior Muslim correspondent and Hasan Minhaj, the program's newest correspondent.

The show is produced by Muslim-American comedian Dean Obeidallah, the co-director of the comedy documentary of "The Muslims Are Coming!" and host of SiriusXM's new weekly program, "The Dean Obeidallah Ahow."

"This show features numerous Muslim comedians to make it clear that as comedians and as Muslims, we stand for freedom of expression and absolutely denounce the terrorist attacks in Paris," Obeidallah stated.

Other comedians in the show include Maysoon Zayid who has appeared on "The Queen Latifah show," Sabrina Jalees who has had her own TV special on Canada's CTV, Vidur Kapur as seen on Showtime and Fox, Atheer Yacoub, Nader Uthman, Eman Morgan, Manvir Singh and more.
