Nancy Ballato McGrath demonstrates teaching excellence at St. Francis of Assisi

TOTOWA, NJ, March 24, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Nancy Ballato McGrath, Teacher at The Academy of St. Francis of Assisi, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

Nancy Ballato McGrath is a prominent figure in elementary education with over 20 years of experience and a resume boasting positions in a wide variety of settings and academic subjects. Now thriving in her third year at The Academy of St. Francis of Assisi, Ms. McGrath is a homeroom teacher, educating students in the subjects of religion, spelling, vocabulary, literature, research and mathematics. She teaches grades two through eight and is responsible for an incredible amount of content in different subjects and for varying age levels.

Ms. McGrath brings extensive experience to her position at St. Francis. Having begun her career as a music teacher at Holy Rosary Academy, she went on to teach at an all girls secondary school, and later to St. Phillip the Apostle in Clifton, New Jersey, where she taught music and social studies. Just prior to joining St. Francis, she worked at St. George Roman Catholic School in Patterson, New Jersey, teaching math. This year, Ms. McGrath was accepted into a special teaching program in science and mathematics at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She also attended a national writing program at Kean University, which only selected 15 teacher participants, nationwide.

In an exclusive October interview with Cambridge Publishing, Ms. McGrath noted that her success had come after years of perseverance and discipline. And still, after having risen to prominence in education, she will continue to seek new heights as she
moves forward with a certificate in educational administration.

Ms. McGrath holds a bachelor of arts in music from New Jersey City University. She serves as a chairwoman for The Middle States Association and a moderator for the National Junior Honor Society. In her free time, Ms. McGrath serves as a full-time organist at St. Anne's Church. For more information on The Academy of St. Francis of Assisi, please visit http://www.theacademyofstfrancis.org.
