Narconon International website
LOS ANGELES, CA, June 24, 2009
/24-7PressRelease/ -- Drugs can addict a loved one no matter the language spoken in your home. Narconon International recognizes this and has now provided translations of its 85-page English website in
Spanish,
French, and
Italian.
"Our 150 centers worldwide, of course, have their own websites," says Clark Carr, president of Narconon International. "But North America has become so polyglot, so cosmopolitan, that we recognized we had to provide direct access to multi-lingual sites to answer urgent questions of families in crisis."
These new translated sites are not small, including 80 or more pages on the Narconon program, its history, services, supporting science, and contact information. They also give up-to-date, detailed information on alcohol and other drugs of abuse and descriptions of Narconon's decades of
community service.
According to Carr, the visits to the Spanish language site have been climbing steadily since it opened. "Narconon International has someone answering daily all the reaches for help in Spanish. We are pleased that already we've been able to refer families to appropriate centers for help."
In North America, the Narconon program is delivered in French at
Narconon Trois Rivieres in Quebec. In the U.S.,
Narconon South Texas in Harlingen delivers the program in Spanish as well as English. There are Narconon residential drug treatment centers north of Mexico City and in the state of Sonora, as well as in Bogota, Colombia; Sao Paulo, Brasil; and Buenos Aires, Argentina. There are programs in Spain near Madrid and in Sevilla in the south. Italy comprises twelve residential and/or prevention centers throughout the peninsula.
"There are more foreign language sites coming up," says Carr. "Russian and Arabic, to start, and a few surprises."
