drug rehabilitation and Education Program was founded in 1966 by William Benitez in Arizona State Penitentiary. In just over four decades the organization has grown to offer services to 50 countries through 150 groups and centers internationally.
The website,
www.narconon.org, has also been expanded by translating its helpful information into French, Italian, Russian, Spanish and just recently, Arabic. This public service has allowed their education materials to be available to hundreds of millions of people throughout the world.
Other recent expansion includes the presence of their world-renown sauna detoxification program into Iran, which is headed by Iranian Dr. Barzegar. He is also the founder of the Peoples Health Organization for one of the regions in Iran.

Narconon Egypt, which offers Narconon services In Pakistani Dr. Mohammed Shariff is trained in Narconon methods and he offers services to persons in his area.
"Drug abuse is not a problem limited only to certain countries or populations," says Narconon International's president, Clark Carr, "This is why we continue to offer help to nations all over the world, both advanced and impoverished countries. Our purpose is to help all people become free from substance abuse and we have a very successful method of accomplishing this."
The Narconon program uses the drug-free rehabilitation and social education methods based on the works of American author and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard, which is uniformly applicable in any community.
