NORCROSS, GA, October 01, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In recognition of Recovery Month, Narconon of Georgia is celebrating the success of its graduates. September of every year is the time when those in recovery and the treatment centers who serve them are applauded. It is the time of year when successes of drug and alcohol treatment are acknowledged and shared with the world.

The Narconon program was founded in 1966 in an Arizona State Prison. The founder of the program Willie Benetiz was serving time for charges related to his Heroin addiction, when he began to work with other prisoners to establish a then unheard of program to help get inmates off of drugs.

Gory Weinand graduated the program in 1968 and is a founding Narconon member. He has been clean for 42 years and recently celebrated his 40th wedding anniversary. He is a Narconon of Georgia staff member and an international spokesperson for Narconon. His success is reflected by the thousands of graduates who have followed.

Mary Rieser, director of Narconon of Georgia, stated, "The message of September is one of hope. The many thousands who have obtained sobriety are testament to the fact that it can be done. Each individual who is salvaged through drug treatment affects many individuals in a positive way - family, community and society at large. This year during Recovery Month, along with our many other activities, we are featuring graduates who continue to make a difference in the world. Though we cannot feature them all, we are proud of each and every one of our graduates."

Todd graduated in 2002. Since graduating he has worked as a line man in an electrical company and community relations. He recently came back to Narconon to fulfill his dream of being a Narconon staff member.

Dan graduated in 2009. Since graduating from the Narconon program he has helped to found an Internet-based marketing company, which is doing well. He has re-established relations with his family and children, a goal that was important to him for years.

Ms. Rieser further stated, "Everyone knows that drug abuse is a severe problem in this society. Most people have been personally affected themselves or through a family member or associate by drug addiction. We don't need to perpetuate this message. The message that we want to tell the world that there is effective drug treatment and education available - there is hope. If we work together we can take our families and communities back."

Narconon of Georgia provides drug treatment and education. Narconon Drug Rehab of Georgia is a non-traditional drug abuse treatment program with a 76% success rate. For more information or if you know someone suffering from addiction please contact us at 877-413-3073 or www.drugsno.com.
