/24-7PressRelease/ -- A recent crackdown on prescription drug sales in Florida prompted customers, not to be deterred, to drive up 75 to the next place they could get prescription drugs - Georgia. Channel Five Fox News investigated and reported how it was affecting local drug treatment centers and abusers. Director of Narconon, Mary Rieser, described in an interview with the news channel how easily individuals can get hooked on prescription drugs and that 75% of her clients were abusing prescription drugs.
Former professional wrestler, John Paul, receiving treatment at Narconon of Georgia, volunteered to tell the story of his ordeal with prescription drugs. He described how his managers and doctors would do anything just to get him into the ring. Every fight started out with a shot of 100 mg, of Demerol. 19 surgeries along the way brought more pain and more prescription drugs from different doctors. John calls these doctors who willingly gave him prescription drugs, "legalized drug dealers". John became hooked and needed more and more drugs, just to make it through the day. He had gotten to dangerously high levels and knew that he needed to do something.
John is now dealing with his addiction, through the Narconon
drug rehab program. There are two phases of the program. The first phase deals with the bio-physical aspect of addiction. Exercise, nutrition and sauna time, all under medical supervision, are used to help the addict become healthier and more in control of the physical cravings.
