AS9100C is the quality management systems standard applicable to companies that supply manufactured products to aerospace and defense industries. Besides lowering manufacturing costs and improving quality, AS9100C certification will provide Navmar access to new markets since many organizations now require AS9100 registration.
Navmar's workforce at its 27,000-square-foot Johnstown facility can capably meet both military and commercial engineering and manufacturing requirements. Engineering functions range from manufacturing engineering to reverse engineering and rapid prototyping, using 3D CAD, 3D scanner, and 3D printer technologies. Manufacturing capabilities, for both low- and high-volume production, include computer-aided machining, sheet-metal work, welding, vacuum layups of molded or moldless parts and composite laminates, large-scale sanding, painting, and oven curing.
