FORT WORTH, TX, October 06, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Paul Childers' stage presence, energy, and smooth vocals have helped to make Paul Childers & The Black Tie Affair one of Nashville's hottest new bands. They will be bringing their unique sound, a harmonious fusion of pop, R&B and jazz, to Chef Point Cafe in Watauga on October 21. The show starts at 7 p.m. and admission is free.

"It's exciting to have one of Nashville's best new bands playing at a venue as intimate as Chef Point," said Hope Nwaeze, marketing director for the landmark gourmet eatery. "We're lucky to be able to book them for one night between their other paid gigs in the area," said Nwaeze.

Childers originally formed the band with musicians he connected with while a student at Nashville's Belmont University, including versatile Percussionist Kip Allen, a Dallas-Fort Worth native. The band's newest member is bass player Chris Croce, a Frost Music School graduate originally from Park City, Utah.

Over the last few years, Paul Childers & The Black Tie Affair have played for both Mitt Romney and Donald Trump and had video of them performing appear on GMA, The Today Show, and Jimmy Kimmel Live. At Chef Point, the band will perform original music from their album Stay as well as new music that will be part of a forthcoming release.

"I have been going to Chef Point Cafe since it opened and even worked there as a host in high school," said Drummer Kip Allen, who attended both Aledo and Colleyville high school, where he was selected to the Texas All-Region Jazz Band before going on to study commercial percussion in college.

Foodies coming out to enjoy the live music can feast on Chef Franson's popular blackened stuffed pork chop featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives or his delicious bread pudding. When you go, be sure to try Chef Point's Bloody Best Bloody Mary, an award-winning cocktail recently featured on Food Network's Guilty Pleasures.
