National Alliance for Dog Breeding Reform Seeks Volunteer Director of Public Relations

    PAWLING, NY, April 23, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- National Alliance for Dog Breeding Reform, a not-for-profit, all-volunteer organization that advocates to protect dogs for sale, seeks a volunteer public relations specialist to join the communications team. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for humane treatment of dogs and will help shape the dialog on dog breeding reform.

As Director of Public Relations, you will be an essential member of a team of advertising and social media professionals who will be building an overall strategy for communications. Director of PR will be responsible for all aspects of partnership building and earned media.

Candidates must have outstanding presentation and writing skills, aptitude with social media approaches, and the ability to communicate complex subject matters in plain language. Ideal candidates will have relevant education and job experience.

Responsibilities

- Oversee media relations and cover summary reports
- Plan and cover media events
- Possess and demonstrate strong strategic thinking and planning, program and budget management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
- Demonstrate outstanding writing ability
- Demonstrate measurable results

Education/Training/Experience

- Minimum five years of agency experience
- Must demonstrate communication skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts to a variety of audiences
- Understand and use AP Style
- Familiarity with social media and its uses
- Aptitude with basic office software
