National Citizenship Winners Announced
2006 National Citizenship Champion Schools Announced today by National Museum of Patriotism and Kamaron Institute. Winners to be honored in Atlanta this month.

    /24-7PressRelease/ - September 07, 2006 - The National Museum of Patriotism (www.museumofpatriotism.org) and the Kamaron Institute (www.kamaron.org) today released the names of the 2006 "KC3 Citizenship In Motion Award" national winners.

The National Citizenship Champions named today were selected from schools that advanced to Finalist Level of the KC3 Citizenship in Motion Awards and earned the highest scores on the Case Study phase combined with the highest performance scores. National Champions are the following: Milton H. Allen, East Fayette, Kanoheda, Kedron, Knight, and North Fayette.

National winners will be honored in Atlanta on September 21, 2006 at an Award Event to be held at the National Museum of Patriotism. "National champions names will appear in lights as a permanent part of the museum's Casey Citizenship Exhibit," says National Museum of Patriotism Executive Director, Jim Balster

"The purpose of creating this national award program is to recognize outstanding performance and achievement in area of positive citizenship. Our benchmark is implementation of the Positive Label Certification Program," states National Museum of Patriotism president and KC3 Citizenship in Motion award program founder, Nick Snider.

"The achievement level is outstanding," continues Nick Snider, "Every winning school team exceeded all program goals and earned "outstanding" partnership scores." National champions decreased name-calling by ten percent and increased kind words and cooperation by ten percent as measured in pre and post independent program surveys. "This accomplishment translates to extra days of quality teaching time, safer, schools and buses, "says Margaret Ross, President Kamaron Institute.



Kamaron Institute KC3 Positive Label Program: A research based, solution focused, positive character and bullying preemption program created by Margaret Ross is designed to teach children the power of words, tolerance, and positive character. KC3 stands for Kamaron Concept Three, which states, "Labels Change Lives", and is the program motto. The heart of the program centers on Ross's "Casey Good Finder" book series. The Positive Label Program encourages partnership and community outreach.

The National Museum of Patriotism is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the history of patriotism. The Museum is a research center for exploring the development of patriotism through educational displays and exhibits. The Museum building is a 20,000 square foot structure in the heart of Atlanta. Within its walls echo the words and dreams of patriots throughout centuries. The National Museum of Patriotism is located at 1405 Spring Street and houses the Georgia Center for Character Education.
