The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. - MECCA Chapter (NCBW-MECCA) will host its 5th annual scholarship, fashion fundraiser on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Atlanta City Hall Atrium



    ATLANTA, GA, January 09, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. - MECCA Chapter (NCBW-MECCA) will host its 5th annual scholarship, fashion fundraiser on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Atlanta City Hall Atrium. The Honorary Co-Chairs are Atlanta City Council President Ceasar Mitchell and his wife, Dr. Tiffany Mitchell; and Atlanta City Councilman Andre Dickens. The Mistress of Ceremony is Mariah Huq (Married to Medicine). The scholarship event also recognizes the accomplishments of African-American women in education, arts and cultural affairs, corporate and community service. The honorees this year are the following:

- Karmetria Burton-Supplier Diversity, Delta Air Lines, Inc.
- Terrie S. Rouse, Arts, Terrie Rouse, Museum Consulting
- Loretta Walker, Business, Chief Human Resources Officer, Grainger
- Kathy Hood, Founder-Marvelous Light Empowerment Association, Inc.

A portion of the proceeds from this charity event will directly benefit the Little Ladies of MECCA Scholarship Fund. The Little Ladies of MECCA is the organization's premiere education and mentoring program designed to empower and educate girls while developing them into future leaders of tomorrow.

This year's entertainment is a fashion show coordinated by internationally renowned fashion designer and entrepreneur, Dwight Eubanks (Real Housewives of Atlanta & Purple Door Salon). The fashion show theme is "London, New York, Paris". Models will be wearing collections from both international and local designers. The event will also include a "Meet and Greet" with the designers as well as a pre-reception.
