Valley View Dental meets Romeoville's emergency needs with emergency dentistry.

ROMEOVILLE, IL, June 07, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The dentists at Valley View Dental understand that common dental emergencies can happen to anyone at anytime. Offering emergency dentistry is just one of the many services available for patient needs.

Dental accidents or severe tooth pain can happen when least expected. Not seeing the dentist when this happens can cause an increased risk of permanent damage. Costly restorative dental treatments may be needed if a dentist is not seen quickly.

"When an emergency happens, we want to be your first line of defense. Whether you crack a tooth, or lose a tooth, we are available to make sure your smile is restored. Contact our office when an emergency occurs so that we can help you immediately" said Dr. Paul Singh, an emergency dentist in Romeoville.

Most patients know right away if the pain of the mouth is an emergency. There are steps a patient can take to relieve the pain while you wait for the dental appointment. If a tooth was impacted or lost, rinse your tooth. If it is still attached, try to hold it in place in the socket. If the tooth was knocked out, place the tooth in milk while on the way to the office. A broken tooth can be restored, but save the pieces and rinse the mouth out with warm water. If a filling or crown is lost, the dentist can temporarily refill the hole until permanent fillings are made. Toothaches and a bitten lip or tongue can also be serious, make sure to call the office right away.

Don't be afraid to contact Valley View Dental at 815-372-0100 if a tooth or any part of the mouth does not feel normal. It's vitally important so that no additional damage is done.
