The Yakima BowDown fold-down position also increases aerodynamics and improves fuel efficiency. The Yakima Bow Down kayak rack is also now compatible with virtually all factory roof rack crossbars and any after-market car rack systems. Optionally locks to roof rack using a pair of Yakima Locks.
The Yakima Mako Aero Saddles ( image viewable at http://www.orsracksdirect.com/yakima-mako-aero-kayak-rack-8004044.html ) are now packaged with universal factory rack adapters included, eliminating the need to use the additional Yakima Universal Mighty Mounts adapters necessary with the regular Yakima Mako saddles version. Utilizing an easy three step process, the Yakima ShowBoat includes a roller that telescopes out to extend out beyond the rear of the vehicle, allowing the user to then place the canoe or kayak onto the roller and then slide the boat into position onto whatever canoe or kayak carriers are used in combination with the Yakima Show Boat. Simply retract the roller back into its storage position during transport. Includes integrated anti-theft locking hardware.
