Rod Bearcloud Berry, founder and overseer of the Chameleon Project, was shown his first vision of these gardens and their structure in the year 2000. Following the ancient ways of his Ni-U-kon-ska ancestors, his visions have been translated into oil on canvas paintings and are presented at his galleries in Sedona, Arizona. His painted visions describe connections to Earth and Sky displaying images of people and animals merged within the stones, trees, water and clouds. The Chameleon Project is an extension of Bearcloud's core vision. The intent of the Project is to bring about a greater conscious understanding of the Earth. Bearcloud believes that the Project's temple of gardens will remind people of their connections to Earth, the Sky, and the Universe. Bearcloud explains that we are all one and of one Earth. This knowledge is important for the generations to come. We must not lose sight of that which has taken care of us: the Earth Mother.
The Chameleon Project is a non-profit "Dome enclosed Garden Project" and a window of awareness in supporting and promoting our Earth's plight and the impact man has had on it. The Chameleon Project also a "Green Project" will have over 200 gardens that will perpetually shift in color, like the Chameleon. It will be the leader in promoting consciousness of Earth's needs fostering solutions that are in alignment with our environment.
