/24-7PressRelease/ -- Natura World Inc. is pleased to announce the August 19, 2009, acquisition of NexGel , the leading manufacturer of gel mattresses. Natura plans to expand distribution of gel mattresses, toppers and pillows across Canada and the United States.
NexGel mattresses, made with Ortho-Gel technology, are innovative in their ability to provide superior pressure relief across the entire body.
Constructed from a honeycomb of hollow columns made from an ultra-strong and solid, rubber-like material, Nex-Gel mattresses support and cradle the entire body. In higher pressure-point areas of the body (hips and shoulders), the columns simply buckle (or get out of the way) while lighter areas (thighs and lower back) are ergonomically supported.
Gel technology has been used with great success for more than 10 years in hospitals (and the medical field in general) to treat patients who spend long periods of time in bed and are prone to bed sores and blood clots. Gel does not heat during use, does not change in firmness and there is virtually no motion transfer.
