Gorilla Magic: The experience of a lifetime has been packed into just six-days on Acacia Adventure Holidays' Troop to the Gorillas overland tour - travellers trekking through dense forest for a one-hour audience with the Silverback, in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. En route to the park itself, overlanders will pass through Mbarara and Kabale, known as the Switzerland of Africa, and Lake Bunyoni, one of the deepest lakes on the continent. Community village visits and forest walks can also be undertaken in the park, travellers catching sight of the country's rural heartland on their journey back to Kampala. Totally Tanzania: Acacia Adventure Holidays' 11-day Highlights of Tanzania itinerary is a snapshot of an exciting corner of Africa. Leaving the 4X4 behind the itinerary includes walking safaris through Hell's Gate National Park to view its spectacular gorges and geothermal hot springs; followed by a challenging trek to the summit of Mount Longonot where travellers are rewarded with panoramic views over Lake Navisha and the Great Rift Valley.
