New Albany Attorneys Announce their Support for the Bicentennial Park Summer Series

McNeely Stephenson Shows Leadership in Supporting the Community

NEW ALBANY, IN, June 16, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- McNeely Stephenson Attorneys of New Albany have begun an initiative to encourage establishing strong ties to the community for both businesses and residents. McNeely Stephenson, a firm which practices estate and elder law, family law, personal injury and criminal defense, hopes to lead by example by continuing to support the community in a variety of ways.

They are sponsors for the Bicentennial Park Concert Series. The series attracts local, regional and national musicians and bands who perform every Friday from 6-9 p.m. in downtown New Albany. The concerts are family-friendly, and admission is free.

McNeely Stephenson is also a supporter of Harvest Homecoming. The weeklong festival is nearly 50 years old and contains several types of events, from concerts to craft shows to the parade and Miss Harvest Homecoming Scholarship Pageant.

Last year, McNeely Stephenson attorney Dana Eberle-Peay took part in the Indiana Kids' Election Program, a program created under Indiana Law that requires schools to educate students about the voting system, from registration through the ballot box, two weeks before a general election. Eberle-Peay delivered a one-hour classroom presentation about the importance of making informed choices in an election.

The firm also joined the fight against breast cancer, sponsoring and attending a fundraiser supporting the Power of Pink, an initiative dedicated to raising money for breast cancer awareness and general awareness in Southern Indiana. The organization hosts social events both to raise money and to bring survivors together, showing support for them in their struggle.

In an effort to show support for VOICES of Kentuckiana, a 70-member chorus which fosters social change by reaching out to at-risk youth, the firm helped sponsor the Beaux Arts Ball. The ball, nearly 20 years old, is a black-tie event and includes a host bar, silent auction, live auction, multi-course meal and live entertainment.

McNeely Stephenson also hosted two scholarship opportunities for college-bound high school students, to help them on their path to a higher education and to encourage them through their education to make their communities, regions and even the world a better place. One scholarship focused on community involvement and the other on personal goals. The firm received numerous applications and will release the names of the winners in August.

Through these and many other events in which McNeely Stephenson is involved, they hope to show that being a member of the community means being involved in the community. It is their hope that, by working together, they can make a difference in making the community a better place for everyone.
