/24-7PressRelease/ - September 10, 2005 - A story has appeared on the literary scene that will answer the unheard voices of many displaced foreigners. Exiled (Solomon House Paperback; $16.95; March 5, 2005) is a brilliant portrayal of events that will root you to your seat. Angela Peabody has revealed a wealth of talent in her poignant description of a violent coup d'etat, which changed her life forever. This unimaginable series of events will remind the reader of the atrocities that are prevalent all over the world.

When 25 year old Liberian attorney Madia Talgate gets engaged to the youngest cabinet minister, Marbue Collins, she thinks that her life is secure. But Madia's security is abruptly shattered when her peaceful native land falls to a bloody military coup d'etat.

Madia is rescued by her American godfather, Merrill Forsythe. Now must find the strength to adapt to a new country, start a new life and find new missing twin brother, whose remains were never found. Madia holds on the hope that he has somehow survived the massacre that claimed the lives of her parents, friends, family and her beloved, Marbue.

Madia begins her life in New York City, struggling to cope with the aftermath of her experiences. In an effort to gather her wits, she accepts an invitation to travel to St. Lucia from her godfather. There Madia meets Sean Gardiner, a tycoon, twice her age. Will Madia allow herself to love again or will her loyalty to Marbue prevent her from opening her heart?

Exiled is bittersweet love story woven with rich history, mystery, tragedy, triumph and intrigue. The characters leap of the pages and will linger in your mind forever. This sweeping saga will transport you from lush, balmy Liberia to the cold; face paced streets of New York City. You will laugh, cry, and have a better appreciation of being exiled within the heart of American society.
