New Book Provides Pastors and Clergy with Blueprint for Conducting Funerals

Pastors and clergy who want to enhance the quality of funeral services and provide a more meaningful service to bereaved family in the new book published by Anointed Press Publishers - The Eulogist - for Catastrophic Wounds.

CHELTENHAM, MD, December 12, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Unlike regular services, conducting funerals programs is an art and requires a level of empathy and skill to bring words of cheer to the bereaved. The Eulogist is a dynamic book offering practical and recommendations to, laypersons, clergy, chaplains and or virtually anyone by providing helpful resources in scriptures, outlines and commentary concerning various methods to deal with the tensions experienced by the persons providing comfort to the bereaved.

Readers will be equipped on the dynamics of conducting a funeral from the point of receiving a death notice to burial or cremation with information such as:

- What to do when notified of a death
- What to do when visiting the home of the bereaved
- What to do when scheduling the service
- What to do during the service
- What to do at the graveside

The Eulogist was written by Michael T. Bell, Senior Pastor at the Peace Baptist Church in Washington D.C. Having officiated several funerals Bell writes from a place of experience. And, there is no doubt that his experiences as Counselor, Conference Speaker and Clinician played a huge role in this work.

Discussing the inspiration behind the book, Bell said: "While attending the funeral for Rev. Harold A. Carter Sr., I personally witnessed the impact of how uplifting and encouraging it is for the community of faith not to allow grief to overcome faith. Pastor of the Sharon Baptist church in Maryland, Rev. Dr. Alfred Corrigon Donovan Vaughn served as officiant and led the procession with the appropriate scriptures and recited hymns from memory. But the arresting moments was his recitation of poetry.

He further added, "A funeral is a very good opportunity to minister healing and the good news of salvation to lost and hurting souls. This book was born out of my desire to help pastors and clergy to officiate a funeral service that is relevant, inspiring and impactful as well as to develop relationships that reflect care and concern for the family or persons in need without being rigid or routine."

Already, many are finding the book very useful. Cedell Brooks Jr., Mortician and owner of Cedell Brooks Funeral Home said: "Dr. Michael T. Bell has shared from experience how professional partnering between mortuary services and pastoral care services provide clarification and consolation before the funeral takes place. This alleviates confusion and unnecessary stress to all parties. A must read for all Pastors, Preachers, Counselors and Morticians."

The Eulogist - is available in kindle and paperback format for a retail price of $9.99 and $18.99 respectively. A copy of the book can be purchased on Amazon or on Anointed Press Graphics' website at http://www.anointedpressgraphics.com.
