Putting it behind them they set off for their aunt and uncle's farm where they are going to stay for some of the holidays. While there they soon get involved in the farm life they love. Nasty rashes and poisoned fields put a damper on their holiday, but old Uncle Forgie soon has them in stitches with his rude and embarrassing stories and the effects of his infamous 'Tipple'- not for the faint hearted! Before long the children soon become involved in the dangerous world of explosives and deceit. They uncover evidence that could send a gang of vicious thugs to their deserved fate except that the thugs have no intention of ever being caught. Kidnappings and dognappings lead the way to a frenzied chase with a sting in the tail. This is one holiday the children will never forget.
About the Author:
Linda H. Strachan, the author of this adventure novel, lives in Wishaw in North Larnarkshire where she works as a primary school teacher. Linda published a short story in "Woman's Own" magazine, and she is currently writing her second children's novel with a school theme in mind which includes some of the characters from this first novel.
